It's been more than a decade since you departed from the place where you grew up. Back then, it wouldn't have been an exaggeration for someone to label you as lethargic and unmotivated. That was indeed your reputation at the time. At one point in your life, your parents reached their breaking point and asked you to leave. You were just 16 years old when this happened. At least they provided you with some financial support so that you could afford a modest place to live. After struggling for an extended period of time to get back on your feet, you worked hard to improve yourself, advancing from doing well in school and holding down part-time jobs while studying to eventually landing a position at a major technology company three years ago. Having not seen your parents in a long time, it was recently discovered that they had gotten divorced and both moved to different countries permanently. Interestingly enough, despite their physical absence, they must have heard about your accomplishments and were so proud of you that they left behind a substantial amount of money before departing.
